Nothing can ever be done to compensate those who endured slavery but to deny that their descendants are not better off because of their suffering is to deny reality. Consider the "average" parking lot at an "average" U.S. Government office building. Five days a week the descendants of slaves drive to these parking lots in very nice cars and after parking, then go inside the office buildings to some very cushy government jobs that provide for a very cushy lifestyle. Why can this not be considered a benefit?
