wanted to re-read the PR and sleep on it / think about this a bit more. first off - i'm glad Cyrus is ok. i still maintain this was stress related - but that's his business and i don't really need to know, and i am glad he is alright as he seems like a good guy.
in terms of the PR, my gut is that this is definitely not the PR they wanted to put out. they waited the better part of 2 months to announce........pretty much nothing. we already knew about the lawsuit, but they're announcing that they requested a hearing date, which is just a procedural thing.
- and Cyrus' "return" could be 2 hours / week for all we know - in fact, they went to great lengths to stress the "reduced hours". Tanya said he will "lend his expertise" - to me that means he will have no active role in running the company, which is clear in Antonio having the only comments with regard to the direction of the company in the PR. I think Cyrus / The Company agreed to this reduced role to show some continuity because they had hoped to have identified a CEO by the time of the next call, but either weren't able to, or something fell through - and they couldn't wait any longer to communicate. Otherwise there is no way they wait over 6 weeks to simply announce a call (that won't happen for another 2 weeks). and the fact that there is no mention of the hold suggests they haven't responded to the FDA yet - which i'm not surprised about given these recent developments.
not trying to be a debbie downer, but that's just how i see it. someone posted that we need a buyout or some other partnership to have someone else pick up the ball and get this drug to market. amen to that. we're all here because we believe in Leronlimab - but good lord, i have never seen such a train-wreck in terms of the actual "business" side of things in all my years of investing.
i'll end on a positive note - they put the call 2 weeks out. i'm hoping it's because they expect to have something in the bag by then - new CEO, or the submission of the materials, etc.
