A naked short would never publicly buy shares in a company they tried to naked short to death.

Couple of schools of thought.

1.) Your shorted the company as low it can go. You realized you are not going to win the battleship game so want to ride it up the other side.,

2.) If you are naked short, you are out for blood. Want the company to go out of business. No one from the SEC will come after you.
You don't buy their shares unless forced to. Shabby was forced to. They lost. Who else are they gonna tattle on? What help did they get from stock boards? Are they going to name names?

You know what they say?

To stay out of jail, you have to tattle on the cattle. Don't want to be that iHuber that got convicted to years even though Janice pleaded mercy. Guy got out and hung himself if I remember. Maybe he was going to tattle or couldn't deal with real life?
