This is significant and really hoping we have a piece of that somehow. One of the companies I contract with has been providing pressure relief devices for pressure (decubitus) ulcers for many years. Decubitus ulcers are diagnosed in stages anywhere from a rash to a split in the skin down to the bone. People that are immobile can be subjected to immense pain and suffering as a result. Pressure relief is big business and paid for by Medicare/Medicaid and some bigger private insurance companies. To be the front runner of cutting edge technology to prevent pressure ulcers from happening and the first on the block to get paid for it(?) You can BET all insurance companies will want to be on the fee schedule to pay for that instead. It will save them a ton of money and create a much better quality of life for those that need it. It’s a win all the way around.
