I'm not a student of Ruger Mini 14's but I do know that their function is essentially the same as that of the AR-15. Quite frankly, I can't really say that one has even ever been used in a crime, although I assume that has happened. Also, I think you have known all along that what I have said about the "flash suppressorless AR=15's" and that is they were sold all during the "Clinton Gun Grab" of the 90's. So, since we have established that the bad guys had at least two weapons that was equal to the AR=15 in lethality and that they could have used to commit mass murders, the question is, "Why didn't they?" I don't know why there was drop in in mass shooting during that period, but you keep insisting that the reason for the drop was because of the "gun ban". Are you trying to say that our criminals are very discriminating and will only commit mass shootings with a weapon that has a flash suppressor? That seems a bit lunkerheadish to me.
