Sepsis definitions are evolving and difficult to finalize without a gold standard,... but take note, nuances exist for all definitions of sepsis and differ from locally, regionally, nationally and internationally... as well as in clinical vs administrative vs research settings. Sepsis in my understanding... is pro-inflammatory....Cytokine storm different kettle of fish... in the same waters.
