Most likely a combination of salary and incentive bonuses in my experience. My executive management pay was based on meeting predetermined expectations with incentives (stock and bonus) attached. I would imagine he has similar compensation but to be honest not sure what his package would be but based on the companies financial situation it may be weighted more towards stock.
