It is not a 'stretch' to say that Paul Knopick errs on the side of caution in his communiques. Before he posts about one of his clients, he checks w/ said client, then uses language acceptable to the client that will not blow up in his face causing damage to the client's business << or current dealings >>.
According to https://www.dictionary.com/e/assure-vs-ensure-vs-insure/ & https://www.dictionary.com/browse/ensure; "ensure" holds a privileged position in relation to its' historical relatives; assure and insure. It is entirely possible that Paul Knopick did use the wrong word and meant to use 'assure' instead of 'ensure'. We will never know as no pr guy is going to admit a mistake like that. Sending out carefully worded press releases is their 'bread & butter'.
While it is true that the 2 week (10 business days) delay did coincide w/ the Head of Orange circus it does not preclude the idea, or the reality, that the delay was for legitimate business reasons. Suppose we are involved in the final stages of a business deal that is significant and substantial. For those who regularly read InvestorsHangout such a scenario is not hard to envision. There are many irons in the fire and any one of them would qualify.
Another thing - it is also possible that 'ensure' is only referring to ensuring the event of all the normal/usual legal-beagle dotting the i's and crossing the t's. In which case the company has nothing to announce other than the 2022 numbers. In other words, nothing more than business as usual. 'Business as usual' is NOT an event. Conveniently, that ignores the elephant in the room - Synergy - 975,000 unit order pending getting approval in 7 countries. For the record, there is at least 1 other 'elephant' in the room.
This deal was announced in Sept 2022 meaning BIEL has had 6 months to work on the registration. If BIEL had a low expectation of doing it or Synergy had serious doubts of us getting it done why announce it then ??? That 'approval' must've been part of the negotiating process. You don't dance around frivolously during negotiations for the biggest deal in the company's history. You pay attention. You check, double check, dot the i's, cross the t's, hire consultants, do it again, confer w/ lawyers, take a break, do it all over again. And check w/ the lawyers again, and again, and again ... parse each and every paragraph, again, re-calculate the numbers, again. Pull an all-nighter, no shortcuts.
I've said it before. We have been invited to the adult's table and playtime is over. You don't take chances when millions of dollars in revenue ($10 profit per unit x 975,000 units) is on the line. The other logical piece thats fits perfectly in w/ the Synergy deal is reliable manufacturing. Viant/Meraqi is still my choice. I think there is a lotta meat on that bone. The fit is too perfect to ignore and I don't believe in coincidences.
So, what's the upshot? The Orange of Head provided a handy excuse for us to take more time to 'ensure' a good outcome and still remain firmly w/ in the guidelines of the OTC. Paul Knopick didn't put out that release b/c he had nothing better to do. There's a reason for everything. We may not understand nor are we entitled to all information all the time. Have we buried the Lead? Do you think we, BIEL, have deals going on that might require extensive legal proceedings? My take is there is more to this 'delay' than what meets the eye.
