Capital markets haven't totally dried up. Wonder what the valuation was. Series A is the first round after seed.
Different model than Verb's MARKET as they send shoppers into actual stores.
Interesting they are going to charge a subscription fee. Done right, that can be another revenue driver like it is for other companies with that model (i.e. Amazon).
