I found that very amusing...while in my teens...a Canadian Military Captain friend of mine...John McLean of El Alamein...(1942 WW11) was wounded by grenade shrapnel during the conflict...while in hospital the nuns would use a pencil... to poke the worms back into his cast because they weren't yet plump enough...haven't thought about John in decades...no wonder he stuttered.
