Not what they promised and not only has the GOP promised shorter term limits for representatives and Senators. Obama campaigned on shorter term limits and it help him become president.

The shit of it all is the existing elected officials don’t have to worry. It doesn’t apply to who is already in congress or the senate. They can still be career elected officials. What a bullshit bill they are trying to sell. It should apply to everyone and have existing terms already served. So if they have already served their time they are gone immediately. Or at least give the current elected officials the same time lines as they propose for newly elected officials being an extention of 6 years for Representatives and 12 years for Senators starting as soon as the bill is ratified. No good ol’ boys can stay as long as they want like another 50 years.

I guess it it a start but the elected officials currently need to get off the gravy train also and shouldn’t get a free pass from their own legislation. How arrogant are they? Pretty damn arrogant!
