People Are Sharing The "Hardest Pills To Swallow" In Life, So Heads Up If You Don't Want Some Real Talk
U/yookiecookie recently asked the people of Reddit, "What are the hardest pills to swallow in life?" Some of these answers are far too real — and maybe that's not a bad thing:
1."Sometimes, things just change. It’s nobody's fault, but they change."
2."Nobody is obligated to be in your life. Years of commitment and love can go up in smoke because someone decided they were done with you."
3."Bad people win frequently. Some people in leadership positions are not good leaders. Some who are not in leadership are good leaders. People will take advantage of your hard work. Many people get to where they are because of nepotism."
4."Not everything will happen according to your plan."
5."Some relationships or friendships are meant to be temporary. Appreciate the memories and lessons they give you, but when the time comes, you have to let go and move on."
6."Just because something is not your fault doesn’t mean it’s not your responsibility."
7."Some bells can’t be unrung. And you have to live with the fallout from decisions you made and things you did when you didn’t know this fact."
8."Life gives you the test first, then the lesson."
9."Accepting the fact that the person you thought you'd spend the rest of your life with might not be the one."
10."If you want a great life, great friends, and experiences, you have to seek them out for yourself and nurture them. They aren't randomly assigned to you, and no one else will take care of it but yourself (of course, also partly depending on other people, but you have to have agency)."
11."Being cynical is not the same as having healthy skepticism. It doesn't make you seem smart, but rather short-sighted and just angry that the world didn't just award you everything you feel entitled to because you are so gifted."
12."One's input into a relationship doesn't necessarily mean equal output from your partner."
13."Not only is incompetence frequently left unpunished, it is sometimes also richly rewarded."
14."Some people just want to watch the world burn."
15."The people you love the most in life will die, sometimes sooner than you could imagine, and the only thing that will come close to healing that wound is time."
16."Doesn’t matter how fit you are, you get old, and your body starts to break down. It sucks. Hard."
I copied this quicker than I can read it and found myself hitting the enter key with my left hand. That is scary. Too much time at they keyboard.

Now I read it. wow. That's some stuff.
I.... We live in a very different world now than it has ever been. We always slept with our doors and windows open. I can't imagine raising children this day in age.
One thing I always say is to surround yourself with good people and your life will be good.
