I don’t know what area you live in but weather has changed drastically in my neighborhood. Do I believe in climate change? Didn’t use to but things have changed and yeah… it looks like climate change is a real deal. That 12 inch rise will take 1/2 of Florida in the next? What is it 25 years? 3 feet in 50 years? That’s what I think I read. Ocean front property looks precarious at best right now if you don’t have a little buffer for height. I live close the the salt water but not close enough to worry. Careful on your investment in property if you’re not sure about ocean levels rising.
