I had a nice Xmas Eve converstion with an owner of a big farm in near I35 in northern Oklahoma. She has many wind turbines and oil wells on her farm. She said that early on with wind turbines, farmers, who get a percent commission for the energy created, had to pay for disposal of the damaged or out dated turbines.when they needed to be replaced. And contract wording makes some current customers unaware of the potential costs. Just looking at the size of them, it is easy to see the cost would be enoumous for both the landfill, transportation, and cutting them into smaller pieces. I hope her deceased husband did not get "took".
