Gee… is it really 75% of the house republicans that wanted Social Security cuts? How dare the party of GOP attack the American people and try to take away a benefit that has been there almost 100 years.
What corporate donors are tired of paying their half or 6.25% of wage to the SS account. It’s just one more break corporations want don’t care about the average worker. First they take the unions away… then they take the pensions away from workers. Now they want the last minimal pension that is suppose to keep seniors out of the poverty lines begging for food away. What kind of group really believes this is ok to take away.
If anything Social Security need to be fully funded. Tax the wealthy and take away the cap on wages for Social Security. Let the wealthy who can afford to pay to keep it solvent pay the 6.25% of earning with no exemption wage limit. It was a scam against the average American when they received the wage cap. Let’s take it back and fund Social Security for another 100 years.
