Take the blinders off Salty. You know damn well that only the Republican Party wants to cut or kill Social Security. You know history right… tell it like it is and don’t keep evading the truth.
As for investing better than SS. We all have 20/20 hindsight… that doesn’t change the fact that you had a defined benefit you could count on. Now for the last 30-40 years the question was always to every candidate. How are you going to fix SS. Now is the last ditched effort to fix it so you Salty don’t take a 25% reduction in 2030. SS will not go broke but reductions of 25% are a real problem. Biden wants to fix that by taxing the rich… do you know how FDR taxed the rich? He taxed the rich up to 70% and funded our infrastructure bills and shore up SS and Medicare at the cost of taxing the rich.
Here we are 80 years later and the rich pay nothing and we are going in debt trying to fix what FDR gave this country. It’s time to tax the rich again and build back a competitive USA with new infrastructure and manufacturing our own products again. Now is the time to do this. Where else are we going to get ahead of our debt as a nation? Reganomics put us further and further in debt. Now is the time for change.
