12:14 PM EST, 02/01/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping(DSX) said Wednesday it agreed to sell its Panamax dry bulk vessel, the m/v Melia, to OceanPal(OP) for $14 million.
The transaction will be carried out via a Diana Shipping(DSX) subsidiary, the company added.
Diana Shipping (DSX) said $4 million has been paid, and the remaining payment in shares of OceanPal's(OP) series D preferred stock is set for the end of February with the delivery of the vessel.
The deal was part of OceanPal's(OP) exercise of a right of first refusal granted by Diana Shipping(DSX) on six vessels based on an agreement signed on Nov. 8, 2021, the company said.
