TikTok, times a wasting. Inquiring minds want to know who.
Speaking of the pendulum swinging reminded me of something else.
I worked for some very big brands. When they have momentum on their side, they were unstoppable. Very hard to change that momentum. People gravitate to that momentum.
"Hey, everyone is using their products, I guess I should too" type thinking. "What an I missing?" FOMO
The problem was, when it did change and swing the other way, it was very hard to stop like a freight train. Mind you nothing fundamentally needs to change in the business. It could, but isn't necessary a requirement.
If Verb was a private company, VCs during a normal market would be throwing 100's of millions at Verb not worried about the last round or the next. Because it's a public company whose stock price can be easily manipulated and investor sentiment even more so, it doesn't taka a lot to stop that train.
So now Verb had momentum in the right direction. Sure someone could short it millions more, but as I said, that would be pretty stupid in my opinion and their money might be better spent riding the momentum to the pending announcement. It will be interesting to see the short report coming for the 1st two weeks of the year. Should be out next week...
