Re: craigakess #131976
I was simply talking about innocent until proven guilty thing, and I would never say I like or dislike someone personally on a board like this, never, because it detracts from actual points. Well, I take that back, Adam Feuerstein can go to hell and not collect the $200.
What I do dislike is some of your comments. You do not know if BP has approached us this past year but backed off until we are clear of the hold or because of this investigation.
You also under estimate the intelligence of members of this board. There were those of us who thought that a known huckster might actually get us an EUA in spite of BP.
As for conspiracy theories, some of us are more well read than that. The NYTimes has been reporting since 2019 about the FDA drug approval division being 75% funded by Big Pharma. The Opioid crisis found rampant corruption between the two agencies. In a trial of NP and KK crap could come out.

Every five years, top officials of the Food and Drug Administration go behind closed doors to negotiate the terms of its core budget — about $3 billion this year.
But the F.D.A. is not at the table with members of Congress or with White House officials. Instead, it’s in dozens of meetings with representatives of the giant pharmaceutical companies whose products the agency regulates. The negotiations are a piece of the “user fee” program in which drug, device and biotech companies make payments to the agency partly to seek product approvals. The fees have soared since the program’s inception three decades ago and now make up nearly half of the F.D.A.’s budget, financing 6,500 jobs at the agency.
The pharmaceutical industry funding alone has become so dominant that last year it accounted for three-quarters — or $1.1 billion — of the agency’s drug division budget.
