Madoff was a fraud - there was zero value in what he was pumping - it was a sham - and he knew there was no value. that's what fraud is - selling something with no value, when you know there is no value.

NP was pumping something he believed in deeply - and what i believe will be a massively valuable, life-saving drug - it will be worth billions. he simply couldn't manage through the approval process. Once it's approved and the company is worth a lot of money, that will become apparent - and i'll be interested in how people look back on his over the top comments then.
