The FDA was in the middle of a Pandemic where they were trying to get a vaccine rollout and every snake oil was being offered as the cure for Covid and our CRO had just sent them gobbly gook on an HIV. This was the official FDA statement on Covid so it doesn't surprise me to find it in the DOJ charge. Amarex and its CEO also had a paper out on Covid.

I would say that the FDA position as stated: "If CytoDyn plans further studies of leronlimab to determine whether the drug can provide clinical benefit to individuals with COVID-19, FDA will continue to provide advice to the company on their development program."
