ER is right we don't need to rehash our CD12 trial except how it pertains to us now. The main players were Gilead who stood to lose on HIV and Remdesivir; and Pfizer who stood to lose on massive vaccine profits. If we had been okayed for HIV that would have opened a right to try avenue for Covid.
Everything ends up being interconnected though. Let's say we get okayed for long haulers, where does that leave Paxlovid from Pfizer. An ok for NASH could open up a right to try avenue for a lot of other diseases. So best to keep us without any approval or buy us and bury LL. The whole game is very dirty and people's health is not a consideration. Trucks to take bodies away is tolerated.
NP was playing an outsider's game, throw everything at the wall, see what sticks. CA is playing an insider's game, negotiations in the back room in the dark with agents from BP.
