Conference Update 4: The Legend of Curly's Gold
I just heard a male voice say "MY COOKIE" in a way where I knew without looking that he'd just dropped his cookie. Sure enough, I looked over and watched him take a large step forward and lean down to pick up half a cookie. How the hell had his cookie gotten a full stride away from him? It's a question we've all probably been asking ourselves for most of our lives. How did the cookie get so far in front of me that it took me a full stride to reach it again.
Most of us don't have an answer for that age old question, we just keep dropping cookies. But could it be that it was all done for the nookie? Scholars Limp Bizkit et al. believe so. This is from one of their published works:
I did it all for the nookie
(Come on) the nookie
(Come on) so you can take that cookie
CYDY feels like the cookie that seems to unexpectedly keep dropping from our grasp and bouncing a full stride away from where we were, or thought we were. It drops, we meet it where it fell and grab it. We think we're golden, but it drops again. And we pick it up. Each time it drops we get more annoyed and less of the cookie is there to pick up. But eventually, statistically, it's going to fall into a bowl full of more cookies. We'll be happy we're still picking it up when that happens because we'll get a whole lotta extra friggin' cookies with it.
