I think doc's system is going to fix all that coming soon. They will be able to share and cross reference health records to avoid abuse of written prescriptions. This way if a doctor sees the patient has been prescribed already, it's his neck on the line if he decides to process a duplicate.
this protects the patient, the doctors and pharmacy from backlash.
