The narration in the Dahlonga Museum told of the lawless nature of the town and outlying camps. Every type of thievery, claim jumping and swindle known to man was apparently practiced there . About the same picture we have of the "wild west" but twenty years earlier and in north Georgia.

The water cannon use in hydraulic mining is shown. There was a miniature model of a stamp mill in operation. At one time there were five stamp mills in the area and the deafening sound resonated across the region day and night.
