yes, I invested on the HIV investment thesis also - that they had hit their primary endpoints, and approval was more a formality at the time. that was 6+ years ago, and as you said, I thought revenue was right around the corner. I also, for a long time said, well, if nothing else works out, at least we'll have enough revenue in HIV to justify a valuation of 5-10 bucks. Maybe that was naive, but For that reason, this PR is a jolt to me.
it's clear that the BLA process / data collection, etc. was just much worse than any of us (or even management) realized. It was beyond the company's ability to fix, even with Recknor grinding on it. And that when Cyrus brought in outside professionals to audit, etc. - that became clear.
I guess the good news is we have a team now that makes decisions and doesn't sugarcoat - which is different than NP who was all "pie in the sky". We have to trust that they are the right decisions at this point - because we don't have any other option.
I'm not panicking or anything and look forward to the call - but not the PR I was expecting. I guess if it gets crushed I'll buy more. But God knows I won't tell my wife if I buy more.
