They found that integrated stress response is driven by eIF2a which has similarities to elF4E which I've mentioned here (link) . Both are also induced by viral infections so eIF2a may also be part of the problem with brain fog in Covid and Long Covid. eIF2a is activated by protein kinase R (PKR), Leronlimab lowers PKR via downregulation of TNF-a and would thus lower eIF2a. Yet another way leronlimab may help with neuronal injury and brain fog in Long Covid.
