DW...my point about Hurricanes is..... the population of Florida in 1960 was roughly 5 million people and basically 22 million people in 2022.
So it is without saying that the population has changed not necessarily Hurricanes by far.
Now what do you have different then in 1960? A much better warning system provided that people would just listen.
In the end one may have nothing to go back to after a hurricane but was warned long before the Hurricane was to hit so be safe and leave or send wife and kids on a flight out ASAP..
So no reason to die but we all have choice but also did that person afford home owners insurance to cover any massive damage.
$4K Home owners premium sounds like a lot until one is left with no roof over their head so again the choice is up to whom
