Yes, it was his choice... He was not forced into this, nor exorbitantly paid. He saw something wrong and knew he could right the wrong.
I think the only compelling reason why he left what he was doing to come to CytoDyn was Leronlimab.
There was too much in this molecule to let it be wasted if he did not come on board. Too much proof was already made; he saw beauty, when the word on the street was doom. He saw the writing on the wall.
He knew that Leronlimab had what it takes to become magnificent among medications, but he saw that it was being wasted, poorly cared for and improperly handled.
He knew that he could give it the care necessary to raise it to the level it deserves to be on.
So that motivated him.
