lots of back & forth over taking shares as comp. personally, i think it's pretty simple.
we don't have a lot of cash to throw around right now. so we're not doing trials, and we're not paying people a bunch of cash. that's just the way it is. has nothing to do with management trying to keep the PPS down, or even caring if it's down, up, etc. (although they clearly want it to go higher).
My take-away however is this:
(i) regardless of the SP in the near-term, there is no way these guys would be taking stock in lieu of cash if they didn't have a high conviction in LL, and the ultimate trajectory. we're all economic animals at the end of the day - and so are these guys.
(ii) while i'm not crazy for being low on cash, i do like them having more stock and being in the boat with us from a day to day standpoint a little more. not that this changes what they do, but it at least aligns them a little more with us.
Just my view.
