Justice Department asks appeals court to block Trump judge’s Mar-a-Lago ruling
The Department of Justice asked a federal appeals court on Friday to temporarily block a judge’s ruling that prevents it from reviewing a batch of classified documents seized during an FBI search of former president Donald Trump’s Florida residence.
FBI agents searched Trump’s resort on August 8 and removed thousands of government documents and objects mixed with classified materials as part of the Justice Department’s investigation into his handling of government materials.
