The FDA approved Pfizer’s application to use it on teens in 1 day. But, because they need to make sure that Pfizer and Moderna capture the money for their new Omicron-including booster, you can bet that the FDA will continue slow-walking Novavax, if history is any guide.
Let’s remember that Novavax submitted their application early last January for EUA for the 2-dose series. The FDA did not convene an Advisory Committee until mid-July, and then after the committee unanimously approved it, they did not give it official approval for another 2 weeks after that. And then we waited another week for the CDC.
