Californians know that CA is NOT READY to ban new gas vehicles and it will take at least until 2040 to build the infrastructure required.
California has had rolling blackouts since 2020 so what will happen when everyone plugs their EV in at night to charge??
What happens if Lake Mead becomes a dead pond and Hoover Dam is shut down? How will CA replace that loss of power?
