Normy, I can't quite agree with your second sentence- "They are not meant to prevent infection or provide immunity."
When was the last time you noticed a person develop smallpox or polio or diptheria?
Please help me to understand just what vaccines are meant for then, if not to provide immunity and prevent infection?
