JB stepped down BECAUSE the SEC was going to force it... LATER... he just decided to do it SOONER. As for the people chosen, MY GUESS is that KR was as acceptable, or more so, to JB after the years leading up to the RKT (Smurfit-Stone) contract than anyone else who would have been (for the SEC to accept the change as a bonafide change of leadership) EITHER too close to JB, or too unknown to be trusted with the post! And yes, the WHALES had demands because they wanted JBI to move on past the squabble with the SEC that was largely caused by agenda-driven manipulators attempting to destroy JBI for their own gain! Like the convicted JBI 3-Stooges, hedgies shorting, and whoever is calling the majority of the shots in NITE's market making activities (which ought to be illegal in a fair and equal equity market IMHO).
