Does anyone know if the FDA has ever gotten tagged in a lawsuit when a drug, such as vioxx, was deemed unsafe after its approval and the maker was fined a substantial amount for their negligence? I don't think I've ever heard the fda being included. Perhaps they have some built-in protection against liability?
