Surely if you can make a hydrogen cold fusion power plant the size of a refrigerator that can power 1000 homes for 2 years. You can make one the size of a car battery that can go for 20-30k miles without recharge.
Hoover dam supplies power to 20 million people via 17 generators. New technology could expand that to 200 million ... ad Tesla coils ...hmmm
We certainly could reduce our oil dependency and footprint to some degree. Maybe 75%.
