Bill was one of my hero's as a young man. He was one of the smartest players, his defense was incredible and 8 NBA titles in a row for the Celtics. He was the first big man to know that being a man and blocking a shot up into the stands was not smart as the other team still got the ball. Leaving it in bounds his team had a 50% chance of a rebound.
