Are you thinking that this may be successful in an animal model?
If yes, why wouldn't you think it would be successful in human?
Is it because the animals can rely upon more robust immunity while humans, dependent on antibiotics and other tricks, have weakened theirs?
I like this idea of using AAV for the time being. I don't particularly like CCR5 KO.
Are you versed in the retrovirus or lentivirus method of transfection? Where the gene is integrated into the DNA?
