With the CCR5 delta 32 double mutation of the gene you'll get a malformed CCR5 protein that is unable to progress to the cell's surface. That CCR5 protein only becomes a receptor when on the cell's surface.
With the CCR5 delta 32 single mutation you'll see less expression of CCR5 since only one of the gene pairs produces a functional CCR5 protein.
