Technically the company leaders did not take a reduction of 25% in salary but instead are taking 25% of their salary in stock (at current market prices) rather than cash.
This is helpful to the company as it does not require them to raise funds from private placements that have a discount to current stock price and include warrants as well.
This also aligns company management more closely with shareholders as most leaders (except SK) own a relatively small amount of stock.
