Not being a corporate person, I had to look up the difference between a president and a CEO. It seems to be that when a company has both positions filled, the CEO is the visionary and the President is the Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Aran’s background shows a great strength in business operations. My thought is that IF we ended up going to another company, he could go along as COO at second in command. If not, he would become CEO and take on both roles.
I missed the comment about $3M going to the placement firm. This sounds like the art world. $3M to the gallery and one sixth that to the artist for a year’s worth of work.
