1978 ~ Hells Angels came to my towns fall festival along the Mississippi in Illinois.
Sate blocked their enter into the state at Fort Madison, Burlington, Quincy and Keokuk. The went to St Louis and crossed.
Once there the other service station won't serve them. So, their leaders came to me.
I said sure ...however pool your money as I am not filling 600 bikes and support vehicles 1 at a time. 3 hours later I think we got them all filled up.
Hell of a site as they came through town a town of 1100.
That year was the last time we had a big festival. They estimated we had 75,000 visitors.
Maybe he was there. They came from chapters all over the US.
