I remember investing in a company 20 years ago that had no revenue, no commercial product and everything was coming soon. Ended up being worthless stock. Even before I sold it many years later, there was still someone guarding the light switch and I asked him a questions. Even all those years later, he said hang on, don't sell. After that, I never trust any company that doesn't communicate with investors.
