Should they have stated it NOT "in their own words"? What would you be saying if they had illegally not acknowledged it?
It must be very tiresome to have to think constantly about how to portray things in the worst light possible.
On the other hand, judging from some of the easily-refuted FUD we've seen, maybe it isn't.
