Breakthrough therapy worthy also; septic shock has a 40% mortality rate. For impact if I were designing the trial I would be tempted to limit it to ED venue and code sepsis. They are prepared for rapid response, stat labs (lactate levels might be part of inclusion criteria), IV route etc and you avoid mild/moderate cases. Move the needle on mortality rate and that is breakthrough.
