Seems to me, that with the administration of LL, they are finding that LL may re-engage a weakened immune system. Virus that may have been dormant for years, maybe with the help of a weakened or fatigued immune system, say from long covid or after chemotherapy, radiation, or HIV emerging out of its reservoir, that when these virus re-emerge, LL already being on board or newly introduced, re-vamps the immune system to ignite anew the formation of more NK cells, more CD8 Cytotoxic killer cells to kill these viruses that lie dormant like EBV or shingles, or HIV.
Could long haulers be the release of dormant pathogens from their own reservoirs? Why did patients treated with LL do well?
They did better because CCR5 was expressed in higher quantities and LL brought that out.
The return to a normal operating immune system.
Not a dormant one. Not a fatigued one. Not a laissezfaire blasé one.
Rather an assertive, invasive, intrusive, dynamic, vigorous and zealous search and destroy assault on specifically pathogen ONLY invaders. That's what the immune system is meant to be and that's what it returns to with LL administration.
With this NIH grant, we bring LL to the ones in hiding, in remission, to find them in hiding place, their cubby hole. We find them out, and before they have the chance to strike, we hand cuff them to keep them from firing their gun.
