The grant from the NIAID (a part of the NIH) is $985K for this coming year. The project runs for five years, and it's logical to think the NIAID will fund it every year.
It's a new project.
Meanwhile, no one on this board knows whether the Brazil project is still stalled, has resumed, or is dead. Anyone who says they do is trying to sell you something.
