If anyone thinks someone is going to be able to change the FDA you got another thing coming. I can almost guarantee you that any proposed solution is going to be additional regulations to help manage the existing regulations, so that new additional regulations will be streamlined in a well regulated manner thus allowing our departments to help provide better regulation and control. (sarcasm) Nothing the govt does gets streamlined. There big solution might be more forms to fill out "online" so that the paperwork reduction act can be complied with.
The government now serves to feed itself, not serve the public. We have to make it profitable for them to make the right decisions and painful to make the wrong decisions. Just like they do to the public. Problem is they have all the power and none of the incentive. (re: milton friedman)
Just look at Musk's rockets and quantity of launches. Private company making informed and quick decisions, learning from mistakes, adapting, getting better and safer, taking people and satelites to space pretty much weekly it seems. Meanwhile NASA hasnt done a launch of its own since the shuttle was retired and the artemis rocket is way way over budget and way way behind schedule and hasnt lifted 6" off the ground. It sickening how incompetent and risk averse government programs are. But everyone one of the government departments nailed their deadlines and twitter posts for inclusion month. None of them missed that. They might have missed doing their primary job, but didnt miss june 1 twitter. If they were really interested in their job they would be doing it and posting later in december "hey sorry we missed inclusion month, we were busy trying to get baby formula made, rockets launched, and tax refunds processed."
