That alone should have spoke volumes to Patterson, that how in the world are these patients receiving LL who are getting a 48% increase in CD4 T cells when HIV should have been killing their CD4 target.
If LL was supposed to be taming the immune system, should there not have been a reduction, a down regulation in CD4 T Cell quantity and activity?
I guess he was just caught up on the fact that in HIV, LL operates as a viral entry inhibitor and didn't consider what was happening regarding immune regulation at all when it was screaming signs of being upregulated.
